He was very close with his adopted siblings Gabi and Hugo, and found himself lost when the two of them joined the NCR. He left the community at age 18, and started going by his last name 'Hidalgo' in remembrance of his home and family.

 Sole Survivor for Fallout 4

Only son of George Louis Nelson and Nadine Al-Amar, born in Boston, MA. His parents died before he finished high school, and he was recruited by the US military directly after graduation. He served for many years, up until he was accused of treason after classified information was leaked about the upcoming Canadian invasion, but eventually he was acquitted and deemed mentally unfit for further service.
He met Loretta Harrison, and the two decided to marry, hoping that pursuing a family lifestyle would alleviate suspicion from their subversive beliefs and sympathies. They adopted a newborn, Shaun.
After the events of the game, Locke resides in Sanctuary with his friends and allies. He considers the synth Shaun and X6-88 to be his sons.
Name: Loretta Lynn Harrison
 Alias: Loretta, Lori
 Gender: female

 Age: Late 30's

 Sole Survivor for Fallout 4

Loretta grew up under the care of her grandparents in Wichita, KS, along with her twin brother until the two were separated when he had to undergo expensive medical treatment in New York. She always dreamed of a career in aerospace engineering, and she was quickly swept up into the US military after she graduated. Despite succeeding professionally and intellectually, she suffered from her growing unease and guilt about the work she was doing as well as transphobic and misogynistic pressures in her environment.
After having an emotional breakdown, she attempted to quit working for the military, which proved difficult and dangerous due to the rising tensions between the US and the rest of the world. She met and married Locke in an attempt to make it look like her desire to start a family was the reason for her quitting.

Loretta is an intelligent, inquisitive, and fundamentally kind person. She feels guilty about her past as a military engineer and feels as though she contributed to the downfall of mankind. She has a lot of trouble adapting to life in the wasteland, and often feels anxious and self-conscious. After the events of the game, she works with the inhabitants of the commonwealth to protect and enrich their lives through science and education. She and Locke don't have romantic feelings for each other, but consider each other to be close friends.

Rosaurio is actually Grandpa Hidalgo's niece, but he and Sra. Las Nieves raised her as a daughter. Lupe is Rosaurio's sworn sister. Hortensio Hidalgo is the child of Rosaurio and an unknown NCR doctor. Gabi, Hugo, and Hidalgo are sworn siblings.

Loretta and Eugene are twins. They were raised by their grandparents in Wichita, KS. Eugene was sent to live with his uncle Sebastien in New York when Moses and Wilma couldn't afford his medical bills.
